Metal Sector: Japanese Technology in Tešanj Worth Over 3 Million KM!

An advanced CNC machining center arrived in Tešanj yesterday, which, according to its characteristics, may have no competition in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and beyond. The company Medena Commerce will soon install this high-tech equipment in its production facilities, thus achieving its largest investment since its establishment, worth over 3.2 million KM.

The equipment, manufactured in Japan, comes from the globally renowned brand Yamazaki Mazak, a leading manufacturer of metalworking equipment and a long-time partner of this Tešanj-based company. The CNC machining center allows processing of positions with dimensions up to 4000x2100x1900 mm, opening entirely new possibilities for production and service improvement.

Selma Bradarić, Sales Manager at Medena Commerce, emphasized that this investment is a crucial step in the company’s further development:

“Acquiring such a machine represents a major step for our business. Although it takes place during a challenging period, we are confident that this will open a new chapter for us. We will now be able to provide our existing and new customers with higher-quality services and better technical support.”

The process from order to delivery took almost two years – from February 2023, when negotiations began and the contract was signed. Key financial support for the project was provided by UniCredit Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) through their economic development support programs.

“We hope that this cooperation will continue in the future, to mutual satisfaction,” added Bradarić.

This investment confirms Tešanj as one of the leading industrial centers in BiH, and Medena Commerce as a company that continuously invests in technology and the quality of its services.
